People ponder about great
memories and we at Tom and Jey ponder,
get sentimental about our favorite topic: men’s fashion and especially bespoke shirts. Though
men’s fashion changes rather slowly but to look at changes in the way men dress
over the past years.
The Fit is the Thing
The loose fit has changed to the
slim fit, the shirts, trousers are demanded in the perfect fit. The new era is
a preoccupation with the fit. Slim fit
shirts and cuts are still immensely popular among men, and it appears that the
form-fitting artistic will continue at least for the predictable future. Though
some men may argue on hiding yourself in baggy pants and shirts, and say that
they were never fashionable. But most of the man have realized that no matter
what your weight, shape or size, getting clothing that suits your body is
always a good idea.
Formal is the New Casual
Okay, so suits and dress shirts have
always been the base of the white collar
working man’s wardrobe, but for most guys prior to the mid-00’s, they were worn
out of necessity to obey with business dress standards. In the early days of
2005-06 though, the suit made a huge comeback as a fashion item and known as the
Menaissance. The men started wearing
these once formal staples the same way they once wore more casual items. The
shirt dress replaced the standard casual t-shirt and polo for men who wanted to
look smart even after they had left from the office.
All in all today’s men’s fashion is more about
looking preppy. When it comes to the development of men’s style over the past
decade, the creation of a more open space to be creative with one’s clothing is
the biggest development of all.
